ZS2EZ OPERATING STATISTICS
Statistics now include ALL operations, including 2001-2003 in Johannesburg as ZR6DXB (6m/2m/Satellite), 2003-2005 as ZR2DX (VHF/Satellite/HF) and 2005- present as ZS2EZ. Since receiving my unrestricted callsign in July 2005, ZS2EZ has been active on a number of bands and modes. The following statistics reflect my activity from February 2001.
The period 06 January 2024 - 06 January 2025 saw 8 023 QSOs added to the log. During this time activity was almost exclusively in FT8 and FT4. All operation was at an average of 80W from my Kenwood TS-2000X (no amplifier). My rotator was broken for the entire year, leaving my beam stuck pointing towards Asia. Started the year with a horizontal loop for the WARC bands, but this was destroyed by wind during the year. Ended up making an extremely low (approx 5m apex) 30m inverted V and tuning the TH7 on 17m and 12m - not ideal. No 80m antenna for the entire year. VHF was totally eliminated due to lack of antennas.
